Andrea Hogben is the President of Northeast Ohio Media Group and is responsible for the overall direction of the organization. Previously Hogben was the senior vice president, sales and marketing at The Plain Dealer and was responsible for leading all national and local advertising sales initiatives, as well as creating effective, well-branded customer communications and developing new marketing opportunities. Hogben joined The Plain Dealer in 1994 and has held a variety of sales and management roles in the advertising division.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in both business and communications, and a master’s degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace College. Professional affiliations include the American Advertising Federation-Cleveland Chapter, Sales and Marketing Executives, the Newspaper Association of America, and In Counsel With Women. Hogben is also a member of the United Way Community Investment Committee.
Hogben is a native Clevelander and currently resides in Westlake, Ohio.
Chris Quinn is the Vice President of Content for the Northeast Ohio Media Group and will be responsible for leading the journalistic priorities and digital news strategy for the company. Chris is a seasoned journalist and is intimately familiar with Northeast Ohio, having worked at The Plain Dealer for the past 17 years. Since 2011, he held the position of Assistant Managing Editor for Metro where he oversaw the newspaper’s exhaustive coverage of the Cuyahoga County corruption crisis, the Anthony Sowell serial killings, the Chardon school shooting and a long stream of enterprise stories including the Cleveland Clinic heart center project, a year-long investigation of the prosecution practices of Bill Mason and an examination of the use of force by Cleveland Police, currently under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department. Chris has additional newspaper experience from the Delaware State News in Dover, the Patriot-News in Harrisburg and the Orlando Sentinel.
For nearly three years, he has been a weekly guest on the Friday Journalism Roundtable on WCPN.
He is a graduate of Temple University with a bachelor of arts degree Journalism.
He lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife Kathy and their 19-month-old golden retriever, Ella. Their son and daughter live in Michigan.
Mike Maleski is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Northeast Ohio Media Group and brings with him 20 years of experience with local media companies and a strong background in sales and marketing. He most recently worked for the Cleveland Cavaliers as Vice President of Digital Sales, Marketing and Operations and was instrumental in creating a comprehensive digital, social and mobile content and sales strategy for the Cavs that is also used by many teams throughout the NBA. Mike also worked with the Cavaliers ownership group as they developed many of the digital marketing solutions for the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland. He previously served as the Retail Sales Director for cleveland.com and was the publisher at Inside Business Magazine for nearly three years.
Mike, a former president of SME Cleveland, is a graduate of Waynesburg University (PA) and Fairview High School.
Sam Brown is the Vice President of Digital Solutions for the Northeast Ohio Media Group and works closely with sales and marketing to drive digital strategy and revenue growth. His most recent position was Vice President of Sales and Digital Services with the Houston Chronicle Media Group where he assisted in the transition from a single focus media company into a multimedia sales organization. Previously, Sam founded the Global Health Marketing Group, specializing in brand development and served as Vice President of Programming Partnerships at ShopNBC Television Network. His vast experience also includes sales and marketing for FX Networks, Ogilvy & Mather, Urban Box Office Networks and Icon Lifestyle Marketing in New York.
